Bill Winter joined Hodges-Mace as the General Counsel in May 2015 and is responsible for the Company’s legal matters. For nearly 20 years, Bill has counseled companies, management teams, and their investors on achieving successful growth. Prior to joining Hodges-Mace, Bill was the global General Counsel of CCP Games, an international software company that develops and hosts online computer games and media content. Bill oversaw worldwide legal matters for CCP, including the delivery of cloud-based services across multiple countries, global technology and content distribution, EU and US privacy law, regulation of virtual currency, employment matters, and cross-border tax, finance, and intellectual property matters. Prior to joining CCP, Bill was a partner at Atlanta’s leading technology law firm, Morris, Manning & Martin, where he advised companies and investors in the insurance, technology, and business service industries. Bill began his career as an international tax advisor with PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Bill holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Finance from the University of Illinois and his Juris Doctor degree from Emory University. Bill enjoys speaking on legal and tax issues affecting technology and service businesses and has been featured in 11 Alive’s Tech Edge, Yahoo! Finance, DealFlow Media, Business Radio X, and the Technology Executives Roundtable.
